Chase Clunan

A little about Chase ...

Chase Clunan grew up in Tallahassee, Florida and at an early age, learned the ways of the force and trained to be a Jedi. Eventually Chase started playing sports, particularly football and golf, and at the current age of 33, plans to continue to do so. While attending Florida State University, Chase met a beautiful girl named Megan who thought he was a jerk. Fortunately, he was later able to prove her wrong and married her in 2007. Shortly after getting married they moved to New Orleans to attend the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. Chase received a Master’s of Divinity in 2011, and in 2012 the couple moved to Miami to plant a church. Five years later they moved from Miami, Florida to the Asheville area Due to many factors, one of which being Megan’s job as a faculty professor at Montreat College. Not long after moving Chase connected with The Vine and in August 2017 became the youth pastor.

Chase has years of experience in youth ministry, local and global missions, and pastoring. He loves working with youth because they believe they can change the world and Chase wants to encourage that reality. Chase also enjoys beating them in most any game they play.

Chase and Megan have 2 children, a daughter, Jude (6), and a son, Declan (1). They all enjoy the beach, sun, waves, hiking, and pretty much anything outdoors! Megan has a Ph.D. in Psychology and is smarter than Chase. Chase is a huge fan of the Florida Gators (despite attending FSU) whereas Megan loves the Seminoles, thus making football season very tricky at their house.

Chase believes that Jesus is the most incredible person who has ever lived and will try to convince you so, for the rest of your life.
