THEVINE Fear not love all

Who We Are

Who is Vine of the Mountains?

We are a community of people learning to love God, one another and our neighbors (both near and far) and we are learning to live in the way of Jesus  –  to become a blessing for all of creation. We are awakening to the present reality of God’s kingdom, even as we yearn for what has not yet been revealed. In short, we are a part of the Body of Christ, which is made up of all people across time, location and denomination who trust Jesus.

What if I'm not sure what I believe?

All are welcome. We offer that a person's ultimate identity is discovered as we begin to realize and “live into” what it means to be made in the image of a loving Creator  –  who is made visible in the person of Jesus Christ.

What are some characteristics of Vine of the Mountains?

We embrace seekers, are mission oriented, culturally aware, and obsessed with the wonder, awe and love of God. We deeply appreciate the creative arts and offer what we hope are highly engaging worship and learning experiences. We are especially concerned with how authentic faith in Jesus is lived out in the daily context of relationships, work, rest and society – to the end that, together, we become a genuine and loving community.

Is Vine of the Mountains "liberal" or "conservative"?

We hope to learn, practice, and experience what it means to trust Jesus – a timeless way of seeing and living which has been passed down to us through the centuries. We encourage one another to base our choices, priorities and hopes on the truth which God reveals in Jesus and in the Scriptures. Following Jesus takes us on a journey which requires frequent rejection of the conventional wisdom of society – liberal or conservative. The idea that God’s desires and purposes can be consistently aligned with any political or socio-cultural agenda is unlikely.

Could I "fit in" at Vine of the Mountains?

All are welcome. We offer that a person's ultimate identity is discovered as we begin to realize and “live into” what it means to be made in the image of a loving Creator  –  who is made visible in the person of Jesus Christ.
